Cancun and Riviera Maya Gastronomic Revolution

Cancun and Riviera Maya have always been favorite destinations, but in culinary subjects recently they are walking a path to be recognized also as gastronomical destinations and increase their turistic offer. Although you could found nice dining and drinking venues, the fame was located on the beaches, the nightlife and, of course, the enormous resorts, mostly all-inclusive but without a real culinary option inside of them.

2012 will be a gastronomic revolutionary year in these two paradises of the Mexican Caribbean thanks to the initiative of a man, deeply in love with these land, just like many others, and he intents to boost the Caribbean in a top first place with an event that hardly will find competition in Mexico. Food and wine lovers from all over, will enjoy the First Annual Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival will take place March 15, 2012.Celebrating Star Chefs, Wines and Spirits of The Americas, Mexican Gastronomy, the best that Canada, USA, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru have to offer in terms of talent, wineries, spirits and culture.

A sampling of the festivals events include: Beyond El Bulli: The Future of Cuisine, Star Chefs Tribute To Mexico Gala Dinner, Celebrity and Winemakers Lunch Cruise, Ferran Adrià Tribute Dinner, Wine and Spirits Tasting Seminars, Celebrity Chef Cooking Demos, After Dark Cancun Parties, Mixology Demonstrations,  Gourmet Tasting Village where the best restaurants and gourmet foods, wines, spirits and entertainment will be showcased, and a Closing Latin Grill and Fiesta.
